The SBA issued a final rule related to the Small Business Government Contracting and National Defense authorization Act of 2013. It only took 3 years.
In this final rule the SBA hits a wide range of changes mandated by the Act, such as Joint Ventures and size standard, “similarly situated” subcontractors, affiliation rules, limitations on subcontracting and non-manufacturer rule for contracts between $3,000 and $150,000, who may initiate a size status protest, and affiliation based on economic dependence.
