This article by Cpt. Scott M. Davidson of GCO Consulting Group, on the pitfalls and financial risk companies face when not monitoring and updating their GSA Schedule pricing. Whether you are on the GSA Schedule (also referred to as the Federal Supply Schedule), or the VA Schedule, the key compliance requirement is to ensure that your pricing schedules represent and are equivalent to the pricing given to your best commercial customer.

The most common error companies make is not adequately monitoring sales activities to commercial customers, ensuring that any pricing structure changes that would affect their Schedule pricing results in proper updates to the Schedules. The GSA and VA hold the contractor financially liable for any discrepancy between commercial and Schedule pricing.

If you are going to be on the Schedule, make sure you appoint someone responsible for monitoring your pricing structures to ensure you are compliant with the Schedule requirements.
